Jamaica Pond Mission

Jamaica Pond is not being used enough to justify the price of maintenance. Yesterday, the city council declared that unless its popularity increases in the next week, they will sell it to U-Park, the city's largest parking lot contractor. The revenue raised from the sale will go directly to funding more traffic officers to deal with the increase in automobile traffic.

  The MBTA is thinking about restoring the E Line from Heath Street to Forest Hills. Your job is to give a voice to the community about the issue.

• Art Challenge

  Jamaica Plain is experiencing low support for the arts. If you do nothing Jamaica Plain will experience budget cuts in many area schools. To show your support for the arts and Jamaica Plain you must get involved in the arts for this next challenge.

• Dancing with the Neighborhood Challenge

  Jamaica Plain is experiencing a low amount of involvement in the neighborhood. Many public places are being neglected and there is a lack of community pride. To solve this issue your teams will boost the spirit and fun of the neighborhood. Failure to complete this challenge will result in the degradation of Curtis Hall and other community centers.
